What we do
Burberry Cosmetics sells genuine international skincare, hair care, body care and makeup in Sri Lanka — online and from 160A Main Street, Colombo 11. We stock CeraVe, Cetaphil, The Ordinary, COSRX, Anua, AXIS-Y, Medicube, Garnier, L'Oréal, Neutrogena, Nivea, Palmer's, Vaseline, Cantu and more.
Why we started
Anyone who has shopped for skincare here knows the problem. The same serum appears on three marketplaces at three prices, one of them impossibly low. Bottles arrive with batch codes that do not check out, or that have clearly spent a summer in a hot warehouse. Counterfeits of popular products are common enough that people have learned to buy abroad and carry it back.
That is a solvable problem and it comes down to sourcing. We buy through authorised distributors and brand partners only. We do not buy parallel-import lots, we do not buy from wholesalers who cannot tell us where stock came from, and we do not stock a product we cannot verify. It costs us margin. It is the entire point of the business.
How we store it
Sourcing genuine stock is only half of it. Heat and light degrade actives — vitamin C oxidises, retinol loses potency, and preservative systems weaken. Our stock is kept in climate-controlled storage away from direct light, and we rotate it so nothing sits long enough to matter. If a product is close enough to its date that we would not buy it ourselves, we do not sell it.
Advice before sales
Most skincare problems are solved by fewer products used consistently, not by more products used hopefully. When you ask us for a recommendation, we will ask about your skin first and suggest the smallest routine likely to work. Sometimes that means telling you the Rs 2,900 cleanser is a better buy than the Rs 9,900 one, or that what you already own is fine and you should just add sunscreen.
That advice is free and there is no expectation you buy anything. Message us whenever you like, or read the journal, where we explain ingredients plainly.
Delivery and payment
We deliver to every district in Sri Lanka — one to two working days to Colombo and its suburbs, two to four elsewhere. Cash on delivery is available nationwide, alongside Visa, MasterCard and bank transfer. Delivery is free on orders over Rs 15,000. The full detail is on the delivery page.
